Qb Check
QbCheck is a web-based test that combines a Continuous Performance Task (CPT) with motion tracking to objectively measure the three core symptoms of ADHD; activity, attention and impulsivity and provide a likelihood for ADHD. By providing quantitative measures of a test-taker’s activity level, ability to pay attention, inhibit impulses and a likelihood of ADHD, QbCheck can aid healthcare professional in the assessment of ADHD.
The decision to complete a QbCheck test will be agreed between us and charged at a cost of £150 per test. We recommend completion of the QbCheck for all children and young people as a useful measure of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity to supplement clinical assessment.

Starting ADHD Medication
The process for starting ADHD medication requires a number of important steps to be undertaken prior to initiating treatment. ADHD medication should be initiated by a healthcare professional with expertise in the management of ADHD.
We undertake an individualised approach to starting treatment which relies on a deep understanding of the person's difficulties which related to ADHD aswell as their motivation for wanting to start treatment. We undertake the following steps when developing an individualised treatment plan with you:
we will discuss the different treatment options available for treatment of ADHD and you will be provided with written information about these treatments
we will agree on the outcome that you want by taking medication for ADHD and any concerns that you might have about starting treatment
we will complete a cardiovascular history which is completed when you register with us
we will check your height, weight, blood pressure and pulse rate before starting medication. When attending a face-to-face appointment, we will complete a cardiac auscultation
we will discuss the process for starting medication privately. More information about this can be found in our Frequently Asked Questions
we will issue a private prescription which will be sent to our preferred community pharmacy, Signature Pharmacy. They will contact you to arrange payment of your prescription and deliver to an address of your choosing within 2-3 working days. If you want your prescription to go to a different pharmacy, an extra charge of £10 per prescription will apply.
We will need to be in touch by phone, teleconference or you can attend face-to-face for follow-up appointments regularly after starting medication. These appointments are charged as per Follow-up appointments below.

we will discuss any side effects that you are experiencing and manage them accordingly
we will assess your mental state and ADHD symptoms
we will decide whether you would like to have any further dose changes or if you are happy with the outcome of the treatment
we will take weight, pulse rate, blood pressure and height (under 18s only) readings to ensure your medication remains safe for you to take.
if you are happy with the outcome of the treatment and we agree that no further drug or dose changes are required, we will make a request to your GP to take over the prescribing of your ADHD medication and complete regular physical health monitoring. This is known as a Shared Care Agreement*. Both you and your GP will need to agree to shared care for the GP to take over the prescribing and physical monitoring of your ADHD medication
if your GP agrees to the Shared Care Agreement then you will need to be seen by an ADHD specialist every six to twelve months in order to continue treatment. You may decide to continue to be seen by ADHD Treatments Surrey for these specialist reviews or you may want to ask your GP to be referred to your local NHS ADHD service for further follow-up
Following any follow-up appointments, we will write a brief letter and email it to you and your GP.
